Physical Exams and Telehealth
We offer comprehensive wellness exams to ensure your pet's optimum health and well-being. Our veterinarian will conduct a thorough physical examination, review medical, nutritional, and behavioral health history, and any current medications prescribed to your pet. Existing patients who have been examined by a HIVE veterinarian within the last year may be candidates for follow-up TELEHEALTH visits. We can visit with your pet wherever they are most comfortable, be it their bed, yard, or on the sofa.

Individualized Preventative Care and Vaccination Plans
We offer a vaccinations and titer testing to protect your furry companion from various diseases such as distemper, parvovirus, calicivirus, bordetella, and rabies. We follow AAHA, AVMA, and AAFP guidelines for core vaccination administration and customize non-core vaccination plans based on your pet's lifestyle, age, and health needs. Preventative care also involves consistent flea, tick, intestinal parasite and heartworm disease protection as well as regular parasite testing, which we are happy to provide during your pet's appointment.

Treatment of Minor Injuries and Illnesses
If your pet is under the weather, call us to diagnose and treat mild respiratory infections, skin irritations, gastrointestinal issues, urinary tract infections, and minor injuries like cuts or sprains. We offer prompt and convenient veterinary care to alleviate your concerns and offer any prescriptions needed to treat your pet's ailment. Should you need a referral for imaging or surgery, we are happy to coordinate care with your existing veterinarian or specialty animal hospital.

Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease Care
Veterinary internal medicine encompasses the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of diseases, especially those affecting internal organs. Accurate diagnosis, treatment, and long term management of diseases such as endocrine disorders, autoimmune conditions, metabolic disease, degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis and infectious diseases like Lyme disease give us the best means of bringing your pet back to excellent health. At your appointment, we can plan any needed testing and develop a treatment plan to fit your lifestyle and budget.

Laboratory Services
The HIVE team strives to customize diagnostic services such as blood, urine, fecal parasite screening , cultures, and cytology based on your pet’s specific lifestyle, life stage, and medical history, ensuring personalized and effective treatment plans. We collaborate with an external laboratory and specialists as well as utilizing in-house testing to conduct thorough diagnostics, guaranteeing accurate and reliable results. Our laboratory results are typically available within 48 hours. We will always provide you a copy to add to your pet's medical records.

Nutritional Guidance
Your pet’s diet is the foundation for their good health and vitality. We want to help guide your family in making sound nutritional choices, as the options can be overwhelming. Oversight and testing of commerically prepared diets vary as do the needs of your pet. From dietary management of diseases like obesity, chronic kidney disease, and allergies as well as careful selection of diets for all life stages and lifestyles, we work with you to select the best diets and feeding practices and offer options for purchasing prescription veterinary diets that are balanced and complete.

Behavioral Consultations
Many pet behaviors such as barking, whining, chewing, and scratching may be natural responses for your pet, though unwanted by you, their owner. Others, such as aggression or house soiling, can weaken or break the human-animal bond leading to relinquishment or euthanasia. In your pet's home environment, we are best able to assess, treat underlying causes of unfavorable behaviors, and develop strategies for the whole family to manage your pet's behavioral concerns. Should pharmaceuticals be needed to assist with modifying behavior, we can prescribe prescription medications and supplements. We can also recommend pet professionals such as Certified Professional Dog Trainers, Animal Behaviorists, or a Veterinary Behaviorist.

End-of-Life Care
We want to best acknowledge and support the loving bond between animals and humans. At no time is that bond more deeply felt than at the time of your pet's passing. We believe that there is no better way to honor pets than to let them go with peace and dignity in the comfort of their home. Let us guide you through the quality of life assessment, hospice care, and in-home euthanasia experience. We provide options to manage terminal illnesses and are with you until the passing of your pet. Our crematory partners can meet at your home to seamlessly provide aftercare services. Pet owners seeking end-of-life assistance do not need to be existing HIVE clients; flexible scheduling is available to accommodate your families wishes.
